Farrah This, Farrah That

The Internet can be quite scary, but without a doubt, it has a plethora of advantages as well. The ‘About Me’ section might be one of the most viewed posts on every website out there, or I would assume. Let’s be honest, we are nosy and curious to see who’s the person behind every blog/website. I’m guilty of that as well; I’m not going to deny. I could go on and on, but you all have a life and I’m not a big fan of talking about myself intensively. I’m still finding myself as I go along. I will tell you the concrete basics and a few likes and dislikes of mine (because let’s be honest, you’re nosy about that as well) :-).

Anyway, I’m Farrah and I’m 20-something. I believe I have an old soul. I was born Deaf. I’m content and happy with the fact that I’m Deaf and would not take the opportunity to hear (like a hearing person, just to clarify because I can hear a bit currently) if I was ever given one. I’m a person who’s quiet, reserved, and who’s an expert listener. I listen with my eyes and speak with my hands. American Sign Language is my first language, English is second. I try to enjoy to little things in life, but can overlook it as life gets chaotic and goes unplanned, like most of us do. I am a believer in quality over quantity and the Golden Rule. I love collecting quotes that speak to me on a certain level and put them to life. I appreciate simplicity and loathe clutter. Drinking coffee isn’t my forte, but eating (or licking) Häagen-Dazs coffee ice cream is. Now, the basic lists of likes and dislikes:

  • The way Earth smells after a rainstorm
  • Autumn
  • Drinking teas
  • H2O
  • Reading
  • Learning new things
  • Homemade gifts
  • Profound, lengthy, meaningful conversations
  • Receiving/giving kindness
  • Empowering women
  • Furry animals (dogs, mainly)
  • The feeling of cold wind brushing against your face in the winter
  • The feeling of sun kissing you all over in the summer
  • Rings
  • Written letters/cards
  • Board games

  • Arachnids
  • Most insects
  • Mushrooms
  • Idiotic  drivers
  • Sodas/Sugary juice drinks
  • Being too cold or too hot
  • People who take advantage of others
  • Oppression
  • Most seafood
  • Driving at night
  • People who aren’t hygienic
  • Filthy houses
  • TV (only once in a while)

oh yeah, this is me, in case you did not know. I guess I saved the best for last. 😉
